How to use it
The scroll-instead-of-watch problem has a name — analysis paralysis — and streaming services are unusually good at causing it. By the time a group has rejected fifteen options, everyone is annoyed and nobody is enjoying whatever finally goes on.
The fix is to shorten the decision, not to browse harder. Have everyone name two things they would genuinely watch, put those on the wheel, and spin. Because nobody had to lose an argument, people are far more likely to actually settle in and watch it.
The genre list here works as a first pass when the group cannot even agree on a starting point. Spin for a genre, then everyone shortlists within it. Two small decisions are much easier than one enormous one.
